Founded in 1186, consecrated in 1204 and officially completed in 1250, it is the largest medieval cathedral in the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Although it is medieval in style, it ends up adding a bit of other styles (some due to the transition of styles during its construction and others due to later additions). In true Gothic style, we have the grand main portal surrounded by statues of the twelve apostles. However, you can choose to visit only some parts and pay less. In its north tower is the Museum of Sacred Art, whose ticket is included for those who buy the full ticket (4.5\u20ac) or can be bought separately for 4\u20ac \/ adult. You can check the current prices at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cm-evora.pt\/locais\/catedral-de-evora\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\u00c9vora City Council website\">\u00c9vora City Council website<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Entering the cathedral itself, we find three halls measuring an impressive 80 meters in length. Throughout its length there are several impressive altars, most notably that of Our Lady of the Angel in the central hall. In total, always allow about 1 to 1.5 hours to get to know all the parts of this incredible monument with the calm it deserves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you're visiting Central Alentejo, \u00c9vora is a must. Not only for the historical presence that can be found in every corner of the city, but also for its beautiful monuments and breathtaking views - like the one you can see from the top of \u00c9vora
