This project by Gustave Eiffel, was built in the 19th century and rests on three major pillars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:24px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\">one of the most important buildings in pinh\u00e3o is its railroad station<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:21px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>One of the most prominent elements is the <strong>Railroad Station<\/strong> and its tile panels. Built in the 19th century, this is one of the most famous stations in the Douro. It was also this station that allowed the great development of the town and the region, so it is an extremely important landmark.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In total, it is decorated with 24 tile panels that have as their main theme the grape harvest and all the surrounding activity: the harvest, preparation and transport. The panel dates from 1937 and was made by the Aleluia factory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This station is one of the passages of the Historic Douro Train, a journey of about 3 hours in a steam locomotive along the banks of the Douro River.
